Maple deer skins are wicked soft leather – like that old T-shirt you just can’t get rid of (1968 Tigers Pennant ).  These run 3 oz in thickness, about 1.2 mm and they all have bullet holes in them.  One going in, one going out, that sort of thing.  No shotgun blasts.  Two sizes available:  Small Maple Deer run 7 to 9 square feet and are $35 each.  Large Maple Deer run 10 to 12 square feet and are $45 each.  This may help you pull the trigger on this leather:  If USPS delivers your mail then shipping is free.  On a side note, it’s sugaring season in Maine right now so it may be worthwhile for you to drive up and get some pancakes or French Toast and just smother the darned things in local syrup.  Did your stomach just rumble?
