Small Late 1800s Wooden Box Trunk with hand cast brass buttons.  This one we believe was made by an eastern USA blacksmith; the brass buttons, each made by hand, told that story for us.  Measures 16 by 10 inches and is 8 inches tall.  Protected by our standard tung oil mixture; just dust this one off every now and then; it needs no other maintenance.  T-949 will set you back $125, with 48-state USA shipping included.  We’re including a key but it does not work the lock.  We tried a few keys, struck out, and gave up.  We’ll get ’em next time.
