Nickel-plated steel hinges were made in the 1940s and were used on suitcases and small boxes. These are called “lift-off” hinges because you can remove the top half from the bottom half by, guess what? Lifting. Dimensions of each HALF are 1-1/4″ wide by 13/16″ Overall dimensions of the two pieces joined together but laid flat, as they would be on the back of your case/box, are 13/16″ wide by 1-7/8″ tall.
