T1965 Classic Style Antique Trunk with Colorful Pressed Metal Floral Design – a very popular style in the 1880s and 1890s, most often sold by Sears or Wards. Big trunk for a long journey; it measures 34 inches left to right, 20 inches front to back, and the peak of the top is 23 inches above the floor. Uptacamp we store firewood in this same size/style of trunk, and we get a boot out of the price tag Sears asked for one of these in 1888: $2.85. No kidding. We’ve cleaned this trunk, protected it with our tung oil finish (which dries hard but remains breathable – it ain’t oily feeling at all). This trunk is $550, and the price includes shipping to any address in the 48 contiguous United States.
