Pre-Civil War Trunk in
Good Condition
Leather covered smaller
trunk from the mid-1800s, in good condition. We've oiled the leather, replaced the handles, added a lid stay, and cleaned the trunk a bit, but
that's about it - this is
a nice vintage display piece that will look right at home in your study,
library, living room, or retail store. Display - that's what this
one is all about.
Not to be used for travel,
as when it comes out on the baggage carousel at your flight's destination
city it'll be all ragged looking and most of the leather will be gone
and all of your personal
belongings that were stored inside it will be missing and right about the
time you make that little discovery you'll find that you start
wondering why in the blue
blazes did you ever leave home in the first place. Measures
30 inches long, 14.5 inches wide, and it's 13 inches tall.
Comes with a working key, and the initials of the owner on top, outlined in brass tacks. Cool.
